As a counselor with Masters Degrees in Psychology and Mental Health Counseling, I seek to integrate the language of the heart and soul with the guidance of science. I specialize in working with people who feel stuck in their lives due to trauma, anxiety, depression, shame, self-criticism, low self-esteem, and chronic illness. My particular focus is helping individuals and couples build awareness, resilience, and greater connections with self and others through mindfulness, compassion, and acceptance.
As a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional, I am trained to respond to your traumatic experiences with evidence-based therapies that will help you shift from surviving to thriving. I have been working in the crisis field since 1999. For the past 4 years, I have specialized in helping individuals overcome histories of domestic and intimate partner violence, sexual violence, grief, divorce, physical pain or injury, and natural disasters. I utilize a comprehensive approach that addresses sources of stress and suffering. I am passionate about using the tenets of neuroscience along with faith, mindfulness, compassion and resilience-training in order to empower my clients to build the skills that will support lasting positive change in their lives.
Experiences transform the brain. Emotion greatly contributes to the memories of your experiences. If you are overwhelmed with anxiety, stress, self-doubt, self-criticism, shame, or depression, I want you to know that there is help for you. Together, we will create a safe place for you to heal. You will discover your power and resilience through strategies that have helped many of my clients win back their life. Additionally, I am dedicated to helping couples find meaning, value, and security in their relationships. In fact, I can help you navigate the, sometimes difficult, waters of any relationship in which you struggle. Please contact me if you have any questions at all. I look forward to hearing from you, and joining you on your path to healing.
